We the Roots was established in 2017 by a group of Toronto based foodies: Among these a food television producer and celebrity chefs, as as high-end leafy green supplier to the top-line of Toronto restaurants.

 

Intravision and We the Roots established a strategic partnership in 2017 making We the Roots became the first food producer to utilize Intravision’s automated controlled environment plant-production platform the GravityFlow™ System. The first system was designed for an old factory space in inner-city Toronto, making system size and height restrained to the limited space: 7-layers of plants, 45ft long. We the Roots did however relocate to a larger space, and the present first site will accommodate  a second and longer GravityFlow™ system to increase overall production capacity.

 

Part of the partnership arrangement is that this first We the Roots facility accept Intravision partners as guest to evaluate the technology, so site visit can be arranged upon request.
